Welcome address to participants in Mebel 2016

On behalf of the Association of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia I would like to welcome the participants, visitors and organizers of the Mebel 2016 International Exhibition!

As of today, the Russian furniture market has not reached its pre-crisis figures. Furniture makers and woodworkers still experience a limited demand in the domestic market. That is why company executives should pay special attention to making their products more competitive. Import substitution and winning international markets become especially important. The majority of enterprises have updated technical facilities, which facilitate introduction of the advanced business management and promotion of finished products, including promotion in foreign markets.

Now that the Russian domestic market has limited demand and increased competition, Mebel provides great opportunities to find new partners, make sure the chosen price and assortment policy is right, see products of competitors, and hold business talks with suppliers of materials and components.

Mebel’s associated events will no doubt enhance professional practice of its participants. Industry specialists will receive answers to all relevant questions related to business efficiency, introduction of new products, and development of new cooperation ties.

I am positive that the exhibition will promote the improvement of production potential of Russian enterprises, and saturation of the market with high-quality competitive products.

Let me wish all participants fruitful work, steady business development, and breaking of new grounds.

Aleksandr Shestakov
Association of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia
